Miss Moneypenny’s infectious guitar pop has been show cased on the ‘live’ Sydney music scene for the past few years.

During this time the band has built a strong local following and developed their sound and musical direction – a combination of engaging melodies and strong guitar based rhythms with a mainstream pop sensibility. Miss Moneypenny cross musical borders and have a fresh sound.

The band’s first recording, a five track EP titled Transparent, was released independently in 2003. International producer Steve James, was enlisted to work on the recording. Steve’s long list of credits include, Thin Lizzy, Cold Chisel, Skunkhour, Superjesus, Oblivia and the Sex Pistols. Their song Transparent was well received by media and press and received widespread airplay.

Miss Moneypenny are currently promoting their new CD More Than Anything. Working with Sydney producer Michael Carpenter, the album offers a more indepth look at Miss Moneypenny with new material and a bigger and bolder sound. It also includes a very special cover of the Peter Green classic, Oh Well , as well as a re-record of their EP’s title track, Transparent.
